Los Seis (The Six)
The Seis del Sur photo collective is composed of six maverick Nuyorican/Puerto Rican photographers who captured the history and unique essence of the South Bronx over four decades from an insider’s point-of-view. No parachutes needed.
The founding members are: Joe Conzo, Jr., Ricky Flores, Ángel Franco, David González, Edwin Pagán, and Francisco Molina Reyes II.
Each member of Seis de Sur is an accomplished photojournalist or documentary photographer with at least four decades chronicling their subjects of choice, that range the gamut from the humble beginnings origins of the Hip Hop genre, to local neighborhood life, to police brutality, war and famine in other countries, to politics, to faith-based iconography and everything in between.
